What this site collects, what it does not, and who else can see it.

The short version

You can browse without an account. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers. Your shopping bag stays in your browser; our hosting provider processes ordinary request logs. If you contact us or place an order, we use the information you provide to respond or fulfil it.

What we collect, and when

Adding a book to your bag stores the list of books in your own browser, on your own device. Vercel, our hosting provider, processes technical information such as IP addresses and requested pages when serving the site.

A confirmed payment reference and the selected books are kept in this browser tab for up to a day, or until you dismiss the confirmation, so refreshing does not lose the confirmation. We do not store card details in your browser.

When you check out, Stripe collects your name, email address, delivery address and phone number, along with your payment details, so the order can be taken and delivered. We see the name, email, delivery address, phone number and what was ordered. We never see your full card number — those details go straight to Stripe and never touch this site.

Who else is involved

Stripe processes the payment and stores the order. Stripe is a payment provider certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, and has its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Vercel hosts this website and, like any web host, keeps ordinary server logs of requests.

Australia Post, or whichever carrier we use, receives the delivery address printed on your parcel.

Zoho provides the email service for our contact address and processes enquiries and order correspondence. We use these services to run the shop and respond to you. Your details are not sold or rented, and we do not use them for advertising.

Email

Order receipts are handled through Stripe. Enquiries and replies use our business email service. We do not run a marketing mailing list, so buying a book does not sign you up to anything.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies and shows no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. Your shopping bag is kept in your browser's local storage so it survives a refresh; clearing your browser data clears it.

Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page, which it needs for fraud prevention and to make payment work.

Seeing or deleting your information

Email founder@hoplittlebunny.com and we will tell you what order information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Note that we may need to keep records of completed sales for as long as Australian tax law requires.

Children

The books are for children; the shop is for the grown-ups who buy them. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Contact

Questions about any of this go to founder@hoplittlebunny.com, and a real person will answer.
